Diana
Buckwalter, a long time resident of Colorado, began her
career at age 17 as a nursing assistant in the newborn
nursery. Diana obtained her Baccalaureate of Science in
Nursing from Regis University where she graduated magna
cum laude. After many years as a labor and delivery nurse,
Diana returned to school to obtain her Master of Science
degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Regis University
graduating with honors. She holds two national certifications.
Diana's passion is women's health, so she returned again
to school for a Post Master's degree in Nurse Midwifery
from the University of Colorado. She considers it an honor
to share the most personal moments of a woman's life -
pregnancy and childbirth.
Diana has worked in many capacities during her professional
career, including educational instructor, administrator,
manager, business development and clinical specialist.
What she enjoys most is direct patient contact. This is
what brought her to join South Denver OB/GYN. She desires
for all women to be educated and proactive in their health
care choices.
Diana and her husband, Evan, have raised seven children.
This personal experience of mothering has enhanced her
ability to serve her clients. Diana's spare time is spent
with her family including several grandchildren. She loves
to travel and shop with her daughters. She also loves the
beauty of Colorado and spends many hours outdoors.
