- Julie N. Meade, MD(new to our practice 9/08)
Dr. Julie N. Meade was born and raised in Southern California, growing up in the San Fernando Valley. She attended the University of California at Berkeley, graduating with a BA in Molecular and Cellular Biology in 1993. In 1994 she moved to Boston, and received her Medical Degree from the University of Massachusetts in Worcester, MA in 2000. She then moved to Manhattan where she completed her OB/GYN residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center (a teaching hospital of Columbia University School of Medicine) in New York, NY. She came to Denver in 2004 and began private practice as an OB/GYN. She is Board Certified by the American College of OB/GYN.
In her practice Dr. Meade cares for women from pre-teen to post-menopausal, including pregnancy. She has special interests in basic and high risk obstetrics, infertility, polycystic ovarian syndrome, menopause, and heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia.) She performs gynecologic surgeries, including minimally-invasive surgeries. She takes time to listen and understand patients to help guide them with complete, accurate, and up-to-date information. She shows compassion and likes to build long-term relationships with patients.
Dr. Meade is married and has one daughter who turns two in July of 2008. She came to Denver because her husband is a Colorado native with strong family ties in the state. Her hobbies include skiing & snowboarding, hiking, and spending time with her young family. Before she moved to Denver she was very involved in ultimate Frisbee and volleyball.
